You're Going to Eat That???

Just the other day, the lovely Rima wrote a post wherein she mentioned her unabashed love for radish sandwichs. Radish sandwiches?? What is that, I asked myself? Ever considerate of her reader, Rima described the delicacy: Wonder bread, butter, sliced radishes.

No offense, Rima, but that sounds kind of yucky. However, who am I to judge? After all, my favorite sandwich is a tid unusual too.

For years I have been teased about my adoration of peanut butter and tomato sandwiches. They are scrumtious. My entire family eats them. We also have been known to enjoy pb and apple, pb and banana, pb and raisin, & pb and honey. You could probably put peanut butter on anything and we'd eat it with relish (not pickle relish, happy relish, though pickles and peanut butter is said to be quite tasty too).

I wonder what other wierdo sandwich recipes are out there? What's your favorite sounds-disgusting-but-is-delicious sandwich? Come on, play along.

My hubby turned me on to Peanut Butter, Grape Jelly and BBQ Potato Chip. After grossing out watching him eat them for several years, I finally broke down and tried one. What the heck??????? These things are pretty good. However, I still won't try his little PB and American Cheese monstrosity.

PB and tomatoes? I would totally eat that with a side of radishes.

Actually, I have another one. There is this restaurant we go to where I order spinach pie with hummos, cheese, bananas and sesame sauce. Dee-lish.

Yes, to peanut butter and pickles. I used to beg them off of my best friend in grade school. Yum.

But I've never tried peanut butter and tomatoes. I would assume the yumminess of the sandwich relies a bit on the quality of tomato? Or is less tomato flavor better?

We used to eat spaghetti sandwiches. (leftover spaghetti mixed with sauce, on plain bread.)

PB and Apples...yum.

The weirdest thing about me is not what I eat but how. So simply. I boarder on a raw food diet.

Wait does pizza count as raw?

PB and celery is a fantastic snack.

Try PB, b-a-c-o-n, lettuce and tomato (like a BLT, but BLTP!)

Yum yum.

My grandfather claimed to eat peanut butter and sardines on rye. He said the peanut butter helped hold the sardines on the bread.
